Permit to Work & LOTO

Permit to work is essential to ensure all personnel working in plant and apparatus are safeguarded from hazards arising from electro-mechanical systems associated with such plant or apparatus. The system that is being used follows the principle of the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) system.

Programme Outcome:

By the end of the programme, learner will be able to:

• Understand the importance of permit to work and LOTO system

• Understand the typical documentations and personnel in PTW system

• Understand the roles and responsibilities of Authorised Person, Competent Person, PTW Applicant, PTW Approver and PTW Receiver.

• Apply the different type of permit to work for different tasks

• Apply the lock and tagging accordingly in isolation point.
